On July 25, 2014, the New Jersey Star-Ledger published an Op-Ed by Damon Coppola, Jane Bullock, and George Haddow describing the need to consider climate change risk on long-term community sustainability.  This article recommends a four-step process that communities can follow to reduce the likelihood of increases in disaster risk increases expected to occur in the coming decades as a result of climate change.
